Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CNA - LTC to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x12 Rotating at a leading LTC in Seward, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care as a Certified Nursing Assistant in long-term care setting
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, and ambulation
• Monitor and document vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respirations, and temperature
• Perform glucose point of care testing using glucometer
• Assist with patient transfers and repositioning to prevent decubitus ulcers
• Provide incontinence and elimination care
• Maintain proper isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Document patient care activities using ECS charting system
• Report changes in patient condition to nursing supervisors
• Care for patients with various diagnoses including dementia, Alzheimer's, TBI, and psychological behaviors
• Operate medical equipment including hoyer lifts, skylifts, and pulse oximeters
• Maintain current BLS certification throughout assignment
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Float within facility and to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering required employment period
• Maintain valid state CNA licensure or complete license application within required timeframe
• Work variable 12-hour shifts with patient ratios up to 1:20 during days
• Comply with facility policies and procedures for patient care delivery
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
