Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Histology Tech - Histology Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Nights at a leading Hospital in Grove City, OH. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform immunohistochemistry procedures including cutting and staining
• Conduct cytology preparation and processing of body fluids
• Demonstrate proficient embedding skills and microtomy techniques
• Work evening shifts from 5pm-1:30am Monday through Friday
• Adapt to potential shift time adjustments (6pm-2:30am) as needed
• Complete fit testing requirements for onboarding
• Undergo 9 panel drug screening
• Complete specialty specific competency testing
• Pass color vision testing
• Complete skills checklist assessment
• Maintain required immunization records including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap
• Complete tuberculosis screening (2 Step PPD or IGRA)
• Undergo physical/health statement evaluation
• Complete criminal background check and education verification
• Sign code of conduct and confidentiality agreements
• Complete conflict of interest disclosure forms
• Maintain compliance with integrity and audit services requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OH
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
