Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Instrument Processing Technician - Instrument Processing Technician to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Grove City, OH. Key Responsibilities:
• Process and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment
• Operate sterilization equipment including autoclaves and other sterilization devices
• Inspect instruments for proper functioning and cleanliness
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of sterilization processes
• Follow infection control protocols and safety procedures
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements
• Inventory and organize surgical instruments and supplies
• Perform quality assurance testing on sterilization equipment
• Complete required training modules and competency assessments
• Maintain required vaccinations and health clearances
• Work Monday through Friday shift from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Complete mandatory background checks and compliance documentation
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures for instrument processing
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OH
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
