Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Med Surg to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Sioux City, IA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide registered nursing care in medical surgical unit
• Work every third weekend and holiday rotation
• Complete Trinity-specific COVID questionnaire and health screening requirements
• Complete child and adult dependent abuse training
• Maintain current nursing license and certificate verification
• Complete required skills checklist and competency testing
• Complete specialty-specific competency testing for medical surgical nursing
• Maintain required immunizations including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap vaccines
• Complete physical/health statement and fit testing requirements
• Pass drug screening and background check requirements
• Comply with Trinity code of conduct and confidentiality agreements
• Complete required compliance forms including conflict of interest disclosure
• Maintain professional liability insurance coverage
• Complete education verification and system access requirements
• Adhere to Trinity policies and procedures for patient care delivery
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
