Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Neuro Orthopedics to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Sioux City, IA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care for neuro orthopedic patients
• Work 36 hours per week with every 3rd weekend requirement
• Work every other holiday as scheduled
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Complete Child and Adult Dependent Abuse Training
• Complete required onboarding documentation and forms
• Complete skills checklist and specialty specific competency testing
• Maintain current RN licensure with verification
• Complete required health screenings including COVID-19 vaccination
• Maintain immunization requirements (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap)
• Complete tuberculosis screening (2 Step PPD or IGRA)
• Pass 10 panel drug screening
• Complete fit testing for respiratory protection
• Pass criminal background check and exclusion list screenings
• Complete Joint Commission testing and competency requirements
• Adhere to confidentiality agreements and system security protocols
• Work night shift hours from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Complete continuing education and training modules as required
• Document patient care activities according to facility standards
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
