Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Pathology Assistant - Pathology Assistant to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide pathology assistant services in pathology specialty setting
• Work Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM schedule
• Maintain current ASCP-PA certification
• Complete required health screenings including COVID-19 vaccination, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap
• Undergo fit testing and tuberculosis screening (2 Step PPD or IGRA)
• Complete mandatory drug screening and physical/health statement
• Maintain professional compliance through required forms and documentation
• Complete criminal background check and integrity disclosure requirements
• Adhere to confidentiality agreements and system security protocols
• Complete color vision testing as required for position
• Comply with all organizational policies and procedures
• Maintain professional liability coverage through required channels
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in GA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
