Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Med Surg Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Athens, GA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care as a Registered Nurse in Medical Surgical Telemetry unit
• Monitor telemetry equipment and interpret cardiac rhythms
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Assess patient conditions and document in medical records
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Maintain current RN licensure and certifications
• Complete required health screenings including fit testing
• Undergo drug screening as required
• Complete skills checklist and competency assessments
• Maintain required immunizations including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap
• Complete tuberculosis screening via PPD or IGRA testing
• Undergo background check and education verification
• Complete required compliance forms and documentation
• Maintain patient confidentiality and system security agreements
• Participate in continuing education and training programs
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in GA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
