Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Med Surg Orthopedic to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care services for medical surgical orthopedic patients during 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Complete license/certificate verification and maintain current RN licensure
• Complete required health screenings including fit test, drug screening, and physical/health statement
• Obtain and maintain required vaccinations including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap
• Complete tuberculosis screening via 2-step PPD or IGRA testing
• Complete specialty-specific competency testing and skills checklist assessments
• Adhere to code of conduct and maintain confidentiality of patient and proprietary information
• Complete integrity and audit services documentation and conflict of interest disclosure
• Undergo criminal background check and exclusion list verification
• Complete education verification and maintain professional development requirements
• Utilize facility systems and complete system access requirements
• Maintain color vision certification for safe medication administration
• Complete COVID-19 health questionnaire and safety protocols
• Provide direct patient care in orthopedic medical surgical setting
• Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OH
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
