Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Lab Specialist - MLT to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Nights at a leading Hospital in Grove City, OH. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform laboratory testing and analysis with solid background in Blood Bank procedures
• Work primarily 3rd shift schedule from 2200-0630 every other weekend and holiday
• Flex to 2nd shift (1400-2230) when needed
• Complete initial training during first two weeks on day shift (0600-1430)
• Maintain current MLT certification and state licensure
• Complete required fit testing and health screenings
• Undergo 9-panel drug screening and background check verification
• Complete specialty-specific competency testing and skills checklist
• Maintain required immunizations including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap
• Complete annual physical and health statement requirements
• Adhere to code of conduct and confidentiality agreements
• Complete required compliance forms and documentation
• Maintain color vision certification for laboratory work
• Complete tuberculosis screening (PPD or IGRA testing)
• Participate in ongoing education and competency assessments
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OH
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
