Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Med Surg to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Davenport, IA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide registered nursing care in medical surgical unit setting
• Maintain current RN licensure and certification requirements
• Complete required onboarding documentation and forms
• Undergo fit testing and health screening requirements
• Complete drug screening as required
• Maintain required immunizations including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap
• Complete annual influenza vaccination when required
• Undergo criminal background check and security clearances
• Complete specialty-specific competency testing
• Maintain skills checklist and demonstrate clinical competencies
• Complete required education verification and professional development
• Adhere to organizational code of conduct and integrity standards
• Protect patient confidentiality and maintain system security agreements
• Participate in audit and compliance activities
• Complete color vision testing requirements
• Maintain professional liability coverage
• Work every other weekend as scheduled
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
