Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Sterile Processing Tech - Sterile Processing Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform sterile processing technician duties with 3-5 years of experience and/or certification
• Complete 12 week minimum assignment commitment
• Complete Child and Adult Dependent Abuse Training
• Complete specialty-specific skills checklist and competency testing
• Maintain required health screenings including COVID-19 vaccination, MMR, Hepatitis B, PPD/IGRA testing, and Varicella
• Complete physical/health statement and drug screening requirements
• Pass color vision testing
• Adhere to Code of Conduct and confidentiality agreements for patient and property information
• Complete Joint Commission testing and facility-specific training modules
• Maintain system access protocols and security requirements
• Complete conflict of interest disclosure and integrity documentation
• Undergo criminal background check and education verification
• Complete OFAC, EPLS, and GSA/OIG screening requirements
• Participate in required competency assessments and ongoing training
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
