Experience
- Minimum 1 year LTC experience required
- Previous travel experience required
License & Certification Required
- Alaska CNA license (can be pending, but must provide documentation of application submission)
- BLS
- Valid CNA license in another state (if AK license is pending)
- Verification of completion of a formal CNA training program (must provide certificate, transcript, etc.)
- Alaska Food Worker Certification (to be obtained during orientation)
Skills Required
- Abnormal/Normal vital sign parameters (Adult and Pediatric)
- Assist with ambulation
- Assist with feeding patients
- Assist with turning and repositioning
- Bed shampoo
- Change linens (occupied, unoccupied)
- Complete bed bath
- Donning and removing PPE
- Foot care
- Glucometer and glucose point of care testing
- Isolation precautions/PPE
- Mouth care
- Obtain blood pressure, including orthostatic
- Obtain patient respirations
- Obtain pulse (radial)
- Obtain temperature (oral, rectal, axillary, tympanic)
- Oxygen tanks
- Perineal care (male/female)
- Pressure injury prevention
- Pulse oximetry
- Reporting changes in patient condition
- Safe patient transfers
- Skin care
- Urine/stool incontinence care
