Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide respiratory therapy services as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Maintain current NRP, ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Manage ventilator systems including Draeger and Hamilton equipment
• Serve as solo RT on shift covering Critical Access 25 Bed/Trauma Level 4 ED, ICU & Med/Surg Hospital with swing bed program
• Provide care for all patient age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Perform respiratory treatments, non-invasive ventilation, and invasive ventilation management
• Conduct arterial punctures and interpret arterial blood gases
• Manage BiPAP, CPAP, and high flow nasal cannula therapy
• Perform intubation assistance and airway management procedures
• Provide tracheostomy care and management
• Administer various respiratory medications including albuterol, atrovent, and bronchodilators
• Conduct pulmonary function testing and spirometry
• Perform chest physiotherapy and airway clearance techniques
• Maintain proficiency with specialized equipment including Puritan Bennett, Draeger, LTV, and Respironics
• Document patient care using Epic charting system
• Work weekends approximately every other weekend
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Maintain valid Oregon state licensure
• Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years
• Complete 24 hours of orientation
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
