Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform ultrasound examinations for OB/GYN patients including level 1 OB scans and GYN scans • Conduct high risk OB and outpatient GE ultrasound procedures • Perform general ultrasound examinations including abdominal aorta, appendix, breast, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, pediatric abdomen/pelvis, and spleen • Execute OB/GYN ultrasound procedures for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester pregnancies • Assess amniotic fluid index, perform fetal anatomical surveys, and evaluate placenta previa • Conduct neonatal ultrasound examinations including bone lengths, cerebellum, ventricles, head, and heart assessments • Perform renal/pelvis ultrasound procedures including bladder, hernia, ovaries, prostate, renal/bladder, uterus, and vaginal examinations • Execute small parts ultrasound procedures including breast cyst aspiration, breast ultrasound, superficial masses, testicles/scrotum, and thyroid examinations • Maintain current ARDMS, ARDMS OB/GYN, and BLS certifications • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation and patient records • Float between units within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals based on census and operational needs • Work Monday through Friday 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM with 45-minute meal break • Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Participate in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments during catastrophic events • Comply with fatigue policy limiting work to no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week • Provide two supervisory references from within the past 12 months • Maintain valid NC or Compact state licensure
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
