Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - IR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Mission Hills, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide registered nursing services in the Interventional Radiology unit
• Respond to call pages and arrive at hospital within 30 minutes when on-call
• Work 5-6 call days in a 2-week period including weekends
• Work every other weekend as required
• Work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Maintain current ACLS certification and LA Fire Card
• Perform vascular access procedures (dialysis, ports, PICCs)
• Assist with trauma procedures including embolizations
• Support stroke procedures including thrombectomy
• Assist with venous/arterial endovascular interventions
• Support neuro angiograms with endovascular interventions
• Assist with pain management procedures (epidurals, nerve blocks)
• Support drain-catheter placements
• Assist with angiograms and venograms
• Monitor patients with pulmonary artery lines/Swan Ganz
• Circulate procedures as needed
• Monitor intracranial pressure (ICP)
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Float between facilities within the state as required
• Provide care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Maintain valid state nursing license
• Complete 20 hours of facility orientation
• Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
