Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Pharmacist - Pharmacist to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Hobbs, NM. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive pharmacy services in a short term acute care setting
• Work 7 days on and 7 days off schedule (Wednesday through Tuesday)
• Staff pharmacy during operating hours of 0700 - 1700
• Provide on-call coverage during 7 day on shift rotation as needed
• Work every other weekend as required
• Serve patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation and pharmacy operations
• Perform anticoagulation therapy and warfarin dosing
• Conduct cardiac, clinical, pediatric, pharmacokinetic, and renal dosing
• Provide therapeutic medication monitoring
• Operate Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Perform inpatient/acute care pharmaceutical services
• Conduct medication compounding using sterile technique
• Maintain IV certification and required pharmacy certifications
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Float between sister facilities as needed
• Complete 40 hours of orientation
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience
• Maintain valid state pharmacy licensure
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NM
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
