Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Pharmacist - Pharmacist to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Hobbs, NM. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide pharmaceutical services as a Pharmacist in acute care setting
• Work 7 days on and 7 days off schedule (Wednesday through Tuesday)
• Staff pharmacy during hours 0700-1700
• Provide on-call coverage during 7-day shift rotation
• Work every other weekend as required
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Perform anticoagulation therapy and clinical dosing
• Provide cardiac dosing, pediatric dosing, and pharmacokinetic dosing
• Manage renal dosing and therapeutic medication monitoring
• Perform warfarin dosing and operate Pyxis systems
• Provide inpatient and acute care pharmaceutical services
• Perform compounding using sterile technique
• Provide care for patients across all age groups (neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics)
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Maintain current IV certification and RPhSkills certifications
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within last 3 years
• Maintain valid state license with compact license requirements
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed
• Complete 40 hours of orientation training
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NM
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
