Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Physicist - Medical Physicist to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Salem, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform daily QA and monthly QA on linear accelerators • Demonstrate high proficiency with Varian TruBeam linacs and ARIA system • Perform all types of chart checks for radiation therapy treatments • Utilize Varian Aria and Eclipse EMR systems for documentation and treatment planning • Provide medical physics support for full service radiation oncology department treating 65 patients per day • Work with two Varian linear accelerators in hospital-based radiation oncology clinic • Maintain ABR board certification in therapeutic medical physics • Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually (up to 8 hours non-billable) • Float to affiliate hospitals as needed, including nearby facilities • Comply with facility policies and procedures for radiation therapy delivery • Complete required compliance documentation and certifications • Provide minimum of one supervisory reference • Maintain minimum of 3 years experience in medical physics
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
