Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate ASL Interp - ASL Interp to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide American Sign Language interpretation services for students and staff
• Facilitate communication between deaf/hard of hearing students and hearing individuals
• Interpret classroom instruction, announcements, and educational activities
• Support students during academic instruction and school-related events
• Maintain confidentiality of all interpreted communications
• Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and support staff
• Adapt interpreting style to meet individual student needs and grade levels
• Participate in IEP meetings and educational planning sessions as needed
• Follow established interpreting ethics and professional standards
• Document services provided as required by school district policies
• Assist with communication during emergency situations or announcements
• Support inclusive educational environment for deaf and hard of hearing students
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in WA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
