Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RAD Tech - Interventional Rad Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Santa Barbara, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures requiring 4+ years of cath lab experience
• Maintain current BLS certification and obtain CRT certification prior to start
• Hold valid Fluoro Permit as required for all procedures
• Operate Siemens and Phillips equipment for various imaging procedures
• Perform IV starts, phlebotomy, EKGs, PACs, portables, and C-Arm procedures
• Assist with TAVR, Watchman, and MitraClip procedures
• Conduct IR/Angio procedures including stents, ablations, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis
• Perform peripherals, biopsies, drainages, and various vascular studies
• Provide hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac interventional support
• Maintain sterile technique and scrub procedures as needed
• Recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and respond appropriately
• Prep access sites and perform EKG lead placement
• Function as room circulator and maintain sterile field during procedures
• Utilize EPIC charting system for documentation
• Float between units as required
• Work 8-10 call shifts per six-week period including weekends
• Provide care for pediatric through geriatric patient populations
• Complete 12-hour orientation program
• Maintain current COVID-19 vaccination including booster
• Obtain annual flu vaccination as required
• Complete all compliance documentation by Wednesday prior to start at 5:00pm PST
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
