Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Cath Lab to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Santa Barbara, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care in the Cath Lab for pediatric through geriatric patients
• Work 4x10 hour shifts (0700-1700)
• Take call shifts as required (12 call shifts per six week schedule)
• Provide weekend coverage every other weekend
• Document patient care using EPIC charting system
• Maintain required certifications including ACLS, BLS, and NIH
• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations
• Assist with interventional radiology procedures
• Circulate and scrub for various procedures
• Monitor patients under conscious sedation
• Manage specialized equipment including balloon pumps and Impella devices
• Operate rapid infusion systems and ICP monitoring equipment
• Provide care for patients with STEMI, stroke, and trauma diagnoses
• Perform pulmonary artery line monitoring
• Conduct telemetry monitoring and triage functions
• Manage ventilator patients as needed
• Administer procedural sedation and monitor patients
• Perform sheath removal and vascular closure procedures
• Obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs
• Administer blood products and maintain IV access
• Follow infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions
• Participate in cardioversion and emergency procedures
• Maintain compliance with COVID-19 and flu vaccination requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
