Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CNA - LTC to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x12 Rotating at a leading LTC in Seward, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide patient care services as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Long Term Care setting
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Utilize ECS charting system for documentation
• Float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Obtain and monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respirations, and temperature
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, and ambulation
• Perform safe patient transfers and repositioning
• Provide personal care including perineal care, mouth care, and skin care
• Assist with incontinence care and pressure injury prevention
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition
• Perform glucose point of care testing using glucometer
• Assist with oxygen tank management and pulse oximetry monitoring
• Maintain isolation precautions and proper use of PPE
• Provide care for patients with geriatric conditions, dementia, Alzheimer's, TBI, and psychological behaviors
• Operate specialized equipment including Skylifts and Hoyer lifts
• Complete bed baths, linen changes, and grooming assistance
• Maintain valid Alaska CNA licensure
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering required employment period
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for work duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
