Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate PT - Physical Therapist to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Medford, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide physical therapy services to patients on all inpatient units including clinical decision unit, ICU, telemetry, and med-surg • Treat patients in surgical units including same day unit and short stay unit • Provide therapy services in the emergency department and occasionally in inpatient rehabilitation facility • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed • Work one regular weekend shift per week • Treat approximately 6 patients in an 8-hour day • Maintain current BLS certification • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation • Work with adult and geriatric patient populations • Perform patient transport to/from treatment areas including ER, ICU, and MedSurg • Provide care for patients with medical surgical, neurology, and orthopedic conditions • Conduct assessment, evaluation, and reassessments of patients • Develop and implement treatment plans including short term and long term goals • Provide gait training and mobility assistance using assistive devices • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety measures • Complete required training modules and certifications pre-start and annually • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment • Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Complete required compliance documentation and maintain valid state licensure • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
