Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RAD Tech - Interventional Rad Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Assist provider while performing diagnostic/interventional radiology and cardiology procedures
• Scrub and maintain sterile field for IR/Cath Lab procedures
• Circulate IR/Cath Lab procedures and cardiology procedures
• Monitor and chart cardiology procedures
• Perform ablations and nephogram procedures
• Handle STEMI procedures in cath lab
• Perform EKG lead placement
• Provide accurate monitoring during procedures
• Assist with carotid stenting procedures
• Perform catheter/drain exchanges
• Assist with diagnostic cardiac catheterization
• Support internal/external biliary drainage procedures
• Perform left heart catheterization
• Assist with mesenteric angiogram procedures
• Perform paracentesis procedures
• Support percutaneous transhepatic cholangiogram procedures
• Assist with renal artery stent placement
• Perform right heart catheterization
• Support stent placement procedures
• Perform thoracentesis procedures
• Assist with ureteral stent placement
• Support kyphoplasty procedures
• Perform biopsies
• Provide on-call coverage for urgent/emergent procedures
• Respond to callbacks within 30 minutes for STEMIs
• Work as part of a three-member team including one RN
• Work every third weekend
• Complete 40-80 hours of unit orientation
• Complete required modules pre-start and annually
• Maintain current ACLS, BCLS, and ARRT or RCIS certifications
• Adhere to facility fatigue policy of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
• Provide care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
