Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist
• Operate Varian True Beam linear accelerator equipment
• Perform CBCT/kV/mV imaging procedures
• Implement beam modifiers and field shaping techniques
• Execute electron field treatments
• Utilize respiratory gating/breath hold techniques for left breast treatments
• Treat prostate cancer patients with seeds/fiducials
• Perform electron beam therapy and IMRT procedures
• Utilize ARIA dosimetry system for treatment planning and documentation
• Provide care for adult outpatients across various age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Maintain ARRT and ARRT (T) certifications
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Work Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts from 07:30 to 16:30
• Handle daily patient census of approximately 55 visits per day
• Complete all testing and compliance requirements within 48 hours
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams including interpretation services, social services, and transportation
• Adhere to fatigue policy limiting work to no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Maintain minimum 2 years of experience and travel experience requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
