Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Lab Specialist - SNF to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading SNF in Pittsfield, MA. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform laboratory testing and analysis in skilled nursing facility setting
• Collect, process, and analyze patient specimens according to established protocols
• Maintain accurate documentation of all laboratory results and procedures
• Ensure proper handling and storage of laboratory specimens and materials
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment according to manufacturer specifications
• Follow infection control and safety protocols in laboratory environment
• Collaborate with healthcare team to provide timely and accurate test results
• Participate in quality assurance and quality control programs
• Maintain laboratory supplies inventory and equipment maintenance schedules
• Adhere to regulatory compliance requirements and laboratory standards
• Provide coverage during standard business hours from 08:00 to 16:30
• Document all laboratory activities in accordance with facility policies
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
