Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CNA - LTC to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Rotating at a leading LTC in Valdez, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide patient care services as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a long-term care setting
• Maintain current BLS certification throughout the assignment
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation
• Float between facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed to meet staffing requirements
• Maintain valid state CNA licensure (Alaska license required)
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 6 months of employment within comparable specialty/setting
• Complete required compliance documentation and certifications
• Perform duties using facility-provided communication devices when required
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Assist with activities of daily living including ambulation, feeding, turning and repositioning
• Perform personal care tasks including bathing, oral care, perineal care, and grooming
• Obtain and monitor vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respirations
• Conduct glucose point of care testing and pulse oximetry monitoring
• Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility
• Provide incontinence care and maintain patient dignity
• Follow isolation precautions and proper PPE protocols
• Report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
• Maintain patient ratios as assigned (typically 1:20)
• Work variable shifts (days or nights) based on facility needs
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
