Position Summary:

VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CNA - LTC to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Rotating at a leading LTC in Valdez, AK. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care services as a Certified Nursing Assistant in long-term care setting
• Maintain current BLS certification throughout assignment
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Assist with patient ambulation, feeding, turning and repositioning
• Perform complete bed baths and bed shampoos
• Change linens for occupied and unoccupied beds
• Provide pressure injury prevention care
• Assist with foot care and skin care
• Provide urine/stool incontinence care and perineal care
• Assist with patient showers and shaving
• Provide mouth care and oxygen tank management
• Perform pulse oximetry monitoring
• Don and remove PPE following isolation precautions
• Conduct glucose point of care testing
• Obtain vital signs including blood pressure, respirations, pulse, and temperature
• Monitor for abnormal/normal vital sign parameters
• Perform safe patient transfers
• Report changes in patient condition to supervisory staff
• Provide care for young adult, middle adult, and older adult populations
• Maintain valid CNA licensure
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering required employment period
• Complete required compliance documentation and certifications
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures for patient care delivery

Job Requirements:

Active, unencumbered license in AK
Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)

Other Required Documentation:

Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
Two current clinical references
State-required professional license
Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
Must pass background check and drug screening
