Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform all aspects of patient exam activities of nuclear medicine at a technical level to produce high quality images consistent with established policies and procedures
• Specialize in performing diagnostic studies in nuclear medicine imaging
• Obtain patient history, explain standard procedures, and address patient concerns to foster comfort and confidence
• Operate and maintain all assigned nuclear scanning imaging equipment to ensure proper functionality
• Perform diagnostic studies including measuring and preparing concentrations of radioactive isotopes in specified body areas
• Properly identify, prepare and/or administer medications/substances within the technologist's scope of practice as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner
• Complete quality assurance processes and practice radiation safety to reduce exposure to patients, staff and self
• Comply with all The Joint Commission, federal, state, and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols
• Maintain all required documentation, logs, charts, forms and records in paper and electronic formats
• Maintain an adequate supply of all consumables to perform quality testing
• Perform all routine daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic maintenance and function checks following established protocol for all imaging equipment
• Assist other areas of radiology as assigned
• Perform other related duties as required and directed
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MI
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
