Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist - CT Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform CT scanning procedures in adult acute care and emergency department settings
• Operate PACS and Siemens equipment including 128 slice Siemens Edge Plus
• Conduct abdomen and pelvis CT scans without and/or with contrast
• Perform chest CT scans without and/or with contrast including vascular chest studies
• Execute head and neck CT scans without and/or with contrast
• Implement isolation precautions and radiation safety protocols
• Prepare and administer contrast media as required
• Start peripheral IVs for contrast administration
• Perform specialized procedures including brain perfusion and vascular CTA
• Conduct spine and musculoskeletal CT scans including cervical, lumbar, and thoracic studies
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation and patient records
• Help move patients to and from stretchers for all modalities
• Transport patients for all modalities when applicable
• Handle daily caseload of approximately 70 CT procedures
• Work with stroke-accredited protocols and emergency department patients
• Maintain current ARRT (CT) and BLS certifications
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Adhere to facility dress code requirements
• Work scheduled 3x12 hour shifts Friday/Saturday/Sunday
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required
• Complete 16-24 hours of unit orientation in addition to facility orientation
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
