Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Winston Salem, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care for cardiac telemetry patients with a ratio of 1:5-6 • Manage pre and post cardiac procedural patients including Cath, PPM & AICD procedures • Care for patients undergoing Watchmen procedures and stress tests • Manage arterial and venous sheaths for cardiac patients • Provide care for TIA population and carotid stent patients • Monitor and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias and telemetry readings • Administer and manage cardiac drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Renal Dose Dopamine, Lasix Drips, and non-titrating Nitro Drips • Care for NSTEMI patients and manage stable chest pain cases • Work 12-hour night shifts on weekend schedule (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) • Float to similar units as needed based on census and patient acuity • Complete required IV starts and maintain IV therapy • Document patient care using Epic charting system • Maintain current ACLS, BCLS, and NIH stroke scale certifications • Pass EKG testing prior to start date • Complete 8-10 hours of non-billable training modules pre-start and annually • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required • Adhere to fatigue policy of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams • Manage rapid patient turnover with average length of stay 1.8-2.4 days • Utilize special equipment including in-room monitoring, EKG capabilities, and remote telemetry monitoring
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
