Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - L&D to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Polson, MT. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care including LDRP • Maintain current BLS, NRP, and other required certifications (CLC, Stable as specified) • Perform sterile vaginal exams and triage of obstetrical patients • Circulate for C-sections and assist with surgical procedures • Provide newborn care and cover all areas of OB including neonatal care • Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation • Monitor patients using wireless fetal monitoring and specialized equipment • Manage patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, and 1:4 as assigned • Work weekend rotations every third to every other weekend • Accept on-call assignments with maximum once per pay period • Float within facility to assist with skills when no L&D patients, including IV starts and phone coverage • Complete 24 hours of orientation training • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years • Maintain valid MT or Compact RN license • Submit compliance documentation by Monday prior to start date • Adhere to facility policies and scheduling requirements • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including PT, respiratory, pharmacy, and other support services
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MT
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
