Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - ER to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Polson, MT. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide emergency room nursing care to patients of all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics • Maintain patient ratios of 1:3 during days, nights, and weekends • Work rotating weekends as required • Complete 12 hours of orientation training • Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation • Perform triage and assessment of emergency department patients • Administer emergency medications and manage IV therapy including vasopressors • Provide care for patients with conditions including trauma, cardiac events, respiratory distress, and psychiatric emergencies • Manage patients requiring procedural sedation and monitoring • Obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs and arterial blood gases • Provide care for ventilated patients and those requiring continuous IV sedation or paralytics • Perform phlebotomy and maintain IV access • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, and pharmacy • Maintain current certifications including ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, NRP, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC • Complete required compliance documentation by deadline • Complete pre-start and annual training modules with self-reported time tracking • Provide two supervisory references covering one year of experience within the last three years • Maintain valid RN license and meet all facility requirements • Be prepared to float within the facility as needed • Follow self-scheduling protocols and adhere to contracted schedule requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MT
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
