Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Med Surg to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 days at a leading Hospital in Lawton, OK. Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs
• Adjust specialized medical equipment as needed
• Interpret and record measurements from medical equipment
• Monitor patients' vital signs
• Report adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner
• Provide nursing care services in medical surgical unit
• Maintain current BLS certification and NIH certification
• Maintain valid state nursing license
• Complete skills checklist requirements
• Work 6 weekend shifts per 6 week schedule period
• Provide patient care during 12-hour day shifts
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
