Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - ER to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Waterloo, IA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department
• Complete license/certificate verification and maintain valid state licensure
• Undergo fit testing and maintain required personal protective equipment competencies
• Complete all required Trinity compliance forms and documentation
• Participate in specialty-specific competency testing for emergency nursing
• Complete color vision testing and maintain visual acuity standards
• Maintain current immunizations including MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap
• Complete tuberculosis screening via 2 Step PPD or IGRA testing
• Undergo physical/health assessment and maintain fitness for duty
• Complete criminal background check and maintain clean record
• Verify education credentials and professional qualifications
• Pass Joint Commission testing requirements
• Complete skills checklist demonstrating emergency nursing competencies
• Participate in child and adult dependent abuse training
• Maintain current COVID-19 and annual influenza vaccinations
• Complete drug screening requirements
• Work assigned shift schedule from 06:30 PM to 07:00 AM
• Provide coverage for every other weekend and every other holiday rotations
• Replace agency nursing staff as needed
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
