Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Med Surg Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Des Moines, IA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care in Medical Surgical Telemetry unit
• Work every other weekend rotation
• Work every other holiday rotation including makeup shifts for call-ins
• Complete Trinity Child and Adult Dependent Abuse Training
• Complete Trinity IA Sing Report training
• Complete Trinity OFAC compliance training
• Complete Trinity Skills Checklist and competency requirements
• Maintain current professional license and certificate verification
• Complete Trinity Non Employee Upload Form documentation
• Maintain required immunizations including MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap
• Complete tuberculosis screening via 2 Step PPD or IGRA testing
• Complete annual physical and health statement requirements
• Complete Trinity Code of Conduct Form and compliance documentation
• Complete confidentiality agreements for patient and system security
• Complete conflict of interest disclosure forms
• Undergo criminal background check and verification processes
• Complete education verification requirements
• Complete specialty specific competency testing for Med Surg Tele
• Complete Trinity Joint Commission testing requirements
• Maintain current COVID-19 and influenza vaccination requirements
• Complete 10 panel drug screening
• Work 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM shift schedule
• Adhere to RTO policies with potential restrictions during mid-November through mid-January
• Complete fit testing for respiratory protection equipment
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
