Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Endoscopy to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Mishawaka, IN. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures
• Assist physicians during endoscopic examinations and procedures
• Prepare and maintain endoscopy equipment and instruments
• Monitor patient vital signs and comfort during procedures
• Administer medications and conscious sedation as ordered
• Educate patients and families about pre and post-procedure care
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and procedure details
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
• Complete required health screenings and vaccinations
• Maintain current nursing licensure and certifications
• Participate in mandatory training programs and competency assessments
• Complete background checks and compliance documentation
• Work assigned shift hours from 07:00 AM to 05:30 PM
• Provide coverage for FMLA/LOA as needed
• Maintain patient confidentiality and system security requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IN
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
