Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
• Utilize evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions
• Provide rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary treatment intervention to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders under supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Administer various procedures as part of rehabilitation plan including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices
• Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly
• Report effectiveness of treatment outcomes to supervising Occupational Therapist
• Provide consultation to patients, families, caregivers and other service providers related to cognitive and/or physical disorders
• Communicate effectively with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans
• Provide input to supervisor for discharge summary of services provided
• Document all regulatory and clinically required information in electronic documentation system and maintain patient records
• Accurately record treatment minutes for services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements
• Participate in required meetings including patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
• Participate in facility and company required trainings, in-services and conferences
• Work with supervising Occupational Therapist to obtain necessary DME or supplies
• Supervise and support students under guidance of the Occupational Therapist
• Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and State Required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during professional practice
• Maintain active state licensure/registration when applicable
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MO
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
