Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate OT - Therapy Rehab to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Apple Valley, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide occupational therapy services for pediatric and adolescent patients in outpatient clinic setting
• Conduct developmental testing and treatment for patients with autism and developmental delays
• Perform patient evaluations and reassessments
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care
• Provide therapy services for activities of daily living
• Float to acute care hospital units when outpatient census is low
• Maintain daily patient load of approximately 7 patients
• Document patient care using Epic charting system
• Work collaboratively in interdisciplinary team with OT, PT, and SLP professionals
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Float between facilities within the state as required
• Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
• Submit monthly cell phone bills directly to agency when applicable
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
