Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - ER to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Des Moines, IA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Room setting
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday
• Maintain current nursing license and required certifications
• Complete mandatory health screenings and vaccinations including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Varicella, and tuberculosis testing
• Pass comprehensive background checks and drug screening
• Complete facility-specific training modules and competency testing
• Adhere to confidentiality agreements and system security protocols
• Participate in Joint Commission compliance activities
• Complete specialty-specific competency assessments for emergency room nursing
• Maintain professional liability insurance coverage
• Work 12.5-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Complete education verification and skills checklist requirements
• Comply with facility policies regarding patient care and safety protocols
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
