Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Surgical Tech - Certified Surgical Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide certified surgical technician services across various surgical specialties including orthopedic, neurological, general, robotic Xi, urology, gynecological, ENT, and endovascular/vascular procedures • Assist with general elective surgeries as well as critical or life-saving procedures • Work 4 ten-hour day shifts from 6:45am-5:15pm • Take one night of call per week from 7pm-11pm • Work one weekend per month from 7am-7pm Saturday and Sunday • Maintain current BLS (AHA) certification • Adhere to strict 3 strike attendance policy with no absences or tardiness exceeding 20 minutes • Complete skills checklist within one year of application • Maintain valid Michigan license verification • Comply with health system-wide profile standards • Provide physical copies of required certifications • Utilize various surgical techniques and tools across multiple specialties • Support critical and life-saving surgical procedures • Maintain professional standards for surgical services delivery
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MI
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
