Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate SLP - SNF to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading SNF in Williamsburg, VA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide speech-language pathology services in skilled nursing facility setting
• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing assessments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for residents
• Provide direct therapy services for speech, language, cognitive, and dysphagia disorders
• Document patient progress and treatment notes in medical records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and other therapists
• Participate in care plan meetings and discharge planning
• Educate patients, families, and staff on treatment strategies and recommendations
• Maintain current state licensure and required certifications
• Complete required continuing education and competency requirements
• Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and safety protocols
• Work scheduled shift hours from 08:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Maintain professional standards and ethical practice guidelines
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in VA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
