Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician / Radiology to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform nuclear medicine procedures including general nuclear medicine studies, Lexi scans, and PET/CT • Conduct cardiac nuclear medicine procedures (required specialty area) • Work with adult and geriatric patient populations with preferred experience in neonates, infants, pediatrics and adolescents • Perform specialized nuclear medicine procedures including 3 Phase, Abdominal, Adenosine infusion, Bone, Brain, Cancer Survey, Captopril, Cerebral Blood Flow studies • Execute DTPA Aerosol, Exercise/Rest procedures, Flow/Function, Liver studies, and Perfusion scans • Conduct Persantine infusion, Pharmacological Stress, Renal, and Sestamibi parathyroid scan procedures • Perform Uptake Scans, Ventilation/Perfusion studies, and Whole Body scans • Start and maintain peripheral IVs as needed for procedures • Obtain EKGs and utilize PACS system for imaging management • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation and patient records • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals within the state as required • Maintain current BLS, NMTCB, and valid CA state licensure • Work 5x8 day shifts handling daily census of 5-10 patients • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
