Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - ER to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Anchorage, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Take calls from across Alaska for patients needing transfer to facility
• Connect sending physicians to attending physicians to facilitate patient transfers
• Coordinate patient transfers across the state
• Retrieve and manage patient documentation
• Handle all phone communication with key stakeholders
• Understand and respond appropriately to emergent situations
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed within skillset
• Work every other weekend as required
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Complete required training modules pre-start and annually
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting
• Maintain valid state licensure
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Care for patients across all age groups when floating to patient care areas
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
