Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate SLP - SLP to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Anchorage, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide outpatient speech language pathology services for adult and geriatric patients
• Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and assessments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and plans of care
• Perform dysphagia evaluations and treatment interventions
• Conduct modified barium swallow studies as needed
• Provide therapy for patients with CVA, TBI, degenerative diseases, and neurological disorders
• Work with patients requiring alternative and augmentative communication devices
• Implement compensatory strategies and functional maintenance programs
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and home programs
• Complete documentation and charting using Epic system
• Perform reassessments and discharge planning as appropriate
• Participate in interdisciplinary team collaboration
• Provide in-service training as needed
• Maintain current BLS certification and state licensure
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
