Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate PT - Physical Therapist to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide physical therapy services in an outpatient setting • Treat patients with neurological diagnoses including vestibular and balance disorders, stroke, and Parkinson's disease • Manage a caseload of approximately 40 patients with maximum 8-9 patients per day • Conduct mostly 45-minute therapy sessions • Perform patient assessments and evaluations for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and home exercise programs • Provide patient and family education on treatment plans and safety • Conduct post-stroke rehabilitation and cognitive disorder treatment • Perform reassessments and establish long-term goals • Utilize specialized equipment including Bertec, NeuroCom, Zero G, and RTI bike • Document patient care using Meditech charting system • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including interpretation services • Maintain current BLS certification • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years • Float between facilities within the state as required • Work 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for patient care • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Adhere to facility dress code requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
