Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - ER to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Petoskey, MI. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide emergency nursing care in a 24/7 emergency department setting
• Deliver immediate care for conditions ranging from minor injuries to life-threatening trauma situations
• Maintain current ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and BLS (AHA) certifications
• Maintain valid Michigan nursing license with LARA and Nursys verification
• Complete skills checklist within one year of application
• Adhere to strict 3 strike attendance policy with no absences or tardiness over 20 minutes
• Work variable weekends as scheduled
• Collaborate with 24-hour specialty support services including Heart & Vascular, Neurosciences, Radiology, Anesthesiology, and Surgery
• Provide nursing care at emergency departments in both facility locations
• Maintain health system-wide profile standards
• Comply with all facility policies and procedures for emergency care delivery
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MI
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
