Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Med Surg to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Dubuque, IA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care in medical surgical unit setting
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• Complete mandatory training modules including Child and Adult Dependent Abuse Training
• Maintain current nursing license and complete license verification
• Complete specialty-specific competency testing and skills checklist
• Undergo required health screenings including drug screening, fit testing, and immunizations
• Complete background check and criminal history verification
• Maintain current immunizations including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, and Varicella
• Complete tuberculosis testing (2 Step PPD or IGRA)
• Adhere to facility codes of conduct and confidentiality agreements
• Complete Joint Commission testing and compliance requirements
• Maintain professional liability insurance coverage
• Complete education verification and system access requirements
• Participate in color vision testing as required
• Complete annual physical/health statement documentation
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
