Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Lab Specialist - Clinical Lab Scientist to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Nights at a leading Hospital in Boise, ID. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform clinical laboratory testing and analysis as a Lab Specialist/Clinical Lab Scientist
• Work 7 on 7 off rotation schedule during night shift hours (2030-0700)
• Maintain current MLS, ASCP or AMT certification
• Complete required license/certificate verification processes
• Undergo mandatory health screenings including fit test and drug screening
• Comply with facility code of conduct and confidentiality agreements
• Complete required background checks and education verification
• Maintain required immunizations including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, and Varicella
• Complete tuberculosis screening (2 Step PPD or IGRA)
• Pass color vision testing requirements
• Complete Joint Commission testing and skills checklist assessments
• Maintain professional liability insurance (NSO)
• Complete system access and security training requirements
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures for laboratory operations
• Participate in ongoing compliance and audit processes
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in ID
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
