Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - LTC to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Rotating at a leading $facility_type$ in Kodiak, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care in long-term care setting for adults and geriatric patients with conditions including dementia, Alzheimer's disease, COPD, CVA, hypertension, and mobility disorders • Maintain current BLS certification throughout assignment • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (average 16 hours, self-reported completion) • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation • Float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed to meet facility staffing requirements • Maintain patient ratios of up to 21 patients during days, nights, and weekends • Provide nursing care including oxygen administration via nasal cannula or face mask, peripheral line care, and isolation/PPE procedures • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, social services, pharmacy, and transportation • Maintain valid Alaska RN license • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting • Complete required compliance documentation and certifications • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for patient care duties • Work variable 3x12 hour shifts (either straight days 07:00-19:00 or straight nights 19:00-07:00 based on facility needs) • Maintain guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week period with potential for one 12-hour call-off per pay period
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
