Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care services as LPN in Long Term Care setting
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Float within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Perform blood glucose monitoring and testing
• Provide feeding tube care and management
• Insert Foley catheters for both male and female patients
• Administer medications via various routes (IM, SQ, oral, subcutaneous)
• Manage NG tubes and G tubes
• Provide oxygen administration via face mask and nasal cannula
• Conduct patient admissions
• Communicate patient status changes to RN/MD
• Implement isolation precautions as needed
• Monitor vital signs
• Assist with patient ambulation
• Provide bathing assistance (sitz, tub, bed, shower)
• Perform mouth care for patients
• Care for young adult, middle adult, and older adult patient populations
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting
• Complete required compliance documentation and certifications
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures for patient care delivery
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
